This project aims to realize "universal tourism in culture and the arts" that enables anyone, including people with disabilities in Japan and abroad, to access culture and the arts anytime, anywhere, through efforts to further expand opportunities for people with disabilities to present and appreciate artistic activities on the occasion of the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.

With the aim of realizing universal tourism in Japan using the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai as a gateway, we will develop the creation of tours throughout Japan that will serve as a model for the reception and distribution of culture and the arts by people with disabilities and access to culture and the arts by all.In this first year of the "Universal Tourism Project," as a model case for the creation of tourism, stage performances and exhibitions that incorporate multilingualization and rational considerations will be held in various locations. In five locations in Japan (Yamanashi, Osaka, Shimane, Tottori and Amami), we will plan and conduct tours for people with disabilities and their caregivers to view the performances and compile reports on the travel itineraries and new findings for reasonable accommodation.

Another initiative of this project, the "Matching Project for Providing Reasonable Accommodations in Culture and the Arts activities," provides barrier-free subtitles, audio guidance, and other "viewing supports" for theater and other performances conducted by private companies and events organized by welfare organizations for people with disabilities. Through these efforts, we aim to create an environment in which anyone can access culture and the arts, and to spread this environment to every corner in Japan.
