/ Overview


In the Kyushu block, artistic expressions by people with disabilities will be introduced in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, a city with many historical tourism resources, including works of formative arts and performing arts performances by people with disabilities that have received recognition both at home and abroad.
Art Brut “Humanity and Nature in Japan” in Nagasaki will be held for 10 days at the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum. In the nature-rich city of Unzen, Yukio Hattori will give a lecture and a demonstration as part of the local event “Agriculture x Welfare x Food”. During the event, Zuiho Taiko from Nagasaki Prefecture also will do an on-demand broadcast of a stunning live performance to the world.

Art Brut ; “Humanity and Nature in Japan” in NAGASAKI

The exhibition will be divided into four areas, “Art Everyday Life, a Straight Line “, “Line and Color; Leaping Forms”, “The Energy of Life Bursts out” and “Eyes Looking hard afar”.

works from all over Japan and works selected from each block in Kyushu will be exhibited under the theme of Humanity and Nature in Japan.

Request Regarding COVID-19

1. Those who are not feeling well (with symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, and taste disorder) may not enter the museum.
2. You will be asked to fill out your name and address when entering.
3. Your temperature will be measured by thermography when entering. You may not enter the museum if you have a fever.
4. When entering the museum, please wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and disinfect your fingers with alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
5. Please practice social distancing during the visit.
(Footprint marks are pasted on the ground to assist in social distancing. Exempted for those who are guiding or assisting people with disabilities.)
6. Please refrain from talking loudly.

Measures Taken by Staff
・Our staff works hard to manage their health by checking their temperature and physical condition every day.
・Our staff wears a mask when providing guidance. They also wash their hands frequently.
・We have stepped up our measures to disinfect doors, handrails, toilets, and other parts of the museum that are within the range of our hands.
・We regularly ventilate the museum to prevent it from becoming an enclosed space.

瑞宝太鼓(長崎) / Zuiho Taiko (Nagasaki)

Since their formation in 2001, they have performed both in Japan and abroad under the theme of "Hope,Effort, and Living with Gratitude”. They have performed in reform schools and prisons across the country, as well as giving school performances and other social contribution activities, and continues to inspire and empower people to live.

Disabled People’s Arts and Culture Festival will strive to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festival regardless of abilities or disabilities. On the day, there will be a Welcome Center to support visitors’ stay and experience as well as ensuring access to information, such as through sign language interpretation, for each program.
